Have you observed how couples who are dating or newly weds act when they are together? Some signs of them being romantically in love are the way they dress up to meet each other, sit close, physically touch and stare into the other’s eyes. There are various views on what ‘romantic love’ is all about; who is it really for and how it differs from, say, devotion to God, affection shown to family members or intimacy between friends. Those married for some years become conscious that our romance gradually, though not intentionally, can grow fainter, fade and even die away. Couples who ‘fall’ in love, soon realize their ‘flame of romance’ must be constantly rekindled, but how? |

The disciples of Jesus asked him to teach them to pray (Lk.11:1). Let us look at the model Jesus gave to his disciples and to us in the area of prayer. The prayer in Matthew 6 is often called the Lord’s Prayer, but actually it could be called the disciple’s prayer, because it was meant for the disciples. I have divided this passage into 5 parts, with 5 P's. These are praise, priority, provision, penitence and protection. |

Marriage is a life long bond between a man and a woman based on mutual concern, love and sex. The Biblical concept of marriage is grounded in Gen.2:23-24 - "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." The two phrases ‘leave’ and ‘one flesh’ is central to the biblical significance of marriage. |
